Hi Everyobody! I thought I put together a quick FAQ section on how to navigate around this social network and have fun while you're here connecting with other Etsyians or promoting your Etsy shop! I'll continue to regularly update this page, and if you have any questions that you don't see on here, please send me a quick message from my profile page. Your valuable feedback is always welcomed!

PERSONAL PROFILE

Q: How do I upload my own profile photo?
A: Click on "Settings" link located on the right hand side of the page. Click on the picture icon next to "Profile Photo".

Q: How do I hide my age from my profile?
A: Click on "Settings" located on the right hand side of the page. Below the Birthday field, uncheck the box "Don't Display My Age".

Q: How do I remove my last name from my profile?
A: Click on "Settings" located on the right hand side of the page. In the Name field, remove your last name.

Q: How do I change the appearance of My Page?
A: At My Page, under your avatar, click on change "Theme". You can change the colors and upload your own background. Another neat feature is the ability to drag certain boxes around on your page. Give it a try!

FEATURES

Q: What kinds of photos can I upload to this social network?

A: We'd love to see you showcase your awesome work on Do You Etsy! There are just a few guidelines when uploading your photos on this social network. Please keep photos you upload, relevant to this social network. If you could keep your photo 1MB or less that would be great. File formats supported:.jpg, .gif and .png file formats. If you need to upload multiple photos of the same item, it would be greatly appreciated if you could keep the upload to a minimum of 2 photos of the same item.  If you need to update your flash java applet which is required to use the bulk media uploader, you can install the latest java update. Also a reminder, the purpose of the Photos page is to showcase your awesome work and is not meant to be an online storage place for your photos. Please make sure that you have backups of all your photos you have uploaded on your computer.

Q: What are Groups?

A: There are currently four groups on this social network. Each group is specific to a topic of your interest or area of specialty - jewelry, art, photography and crafts. It's a great way for members with common interest to gather and exchange ideas & tips. If there is a group that you'd like to see on Do You Etsy?, please send me a message!

Q: Why does everything I add to this social network needs to be approved?

A: Most content you add to this social network undergo an approval process. This is to ensure that content is relevant to this social network's topic. Should your content does not get approved, our apologies and we hope that does not deter you from using this social network to connect with fellow Etsyians and promote your Etsy shop.

Q: Can I run my own ads on the right hand side?

A: Click on the member avatar. On their profile page, below their avatar, click on "+Add as Friend".

Q: How do I accept a member as a Friend?
A: Click on the "Friends" link underneath your Inbox. Click on the "Friend Requests" tab. Click on the "Accept" button.

Q: How do I send a message to a member on this social network?
A: Click on the member avatar. On their profile page, below their avatar, click on "Send a Message". You'll need to be friends with the member before you can send a message for their privacy.

Q: How do I control what types of email notifications I get from Do You Etsy?
A: Click on "Settings" located on the right hand side of the page. Click on "Email".
