Tell us a little bit about your wonderful Etsy shop.

Hi! I'm Krissy, the "Queen B" of B.Inspired Vintage. Let me give you a little background behind B.Inspired. My life has been full and blessed. Surrounded by sunflowers on a summer day in 2003, I married my best friend. My husband supported me as I worked hard to attain both my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Art Education. After graduating with my Masters, I taught visual arts to 7-12th graders in a great, rural high school. I developed from an art student to an artist to a wife to an art educator. I was passionate about art and strived to foster that in my students. Yet I never knew true love, or how my life would change, until I set eyes on my newborn son in the fall of 2006. Now, I have a beautiful daughter, too, and my priorities, and what inspires and excites me, have changed. A job change for my husband, and subsequent relocation of our family, has inspired me to stay home with my children and bring my dream of B.Inspired Vintage to life! Between diaper changes and play-dates I find fun funky vintage goodies to brighten your day!

Your favorite material(s) to work with

As an artist, I love oil painting, but haven't done it since having my children (because of the chemicals involved). I miss it, but don't have much time for it now anyway, so now I take my kids with me hunting for fun vintage finds! My creative outlet is now photographing and marketing my goodies.

I promote through my blog (B.Inspired Mama), Twitter, Facebook, sharing Etsy Hearts, and reading and commenting on other great design and craft blogs.

Who or what inspires you?

First and foremost, my kids inspire me! They help me get through each day and put a smile on my face. And since having my children, I have become more inspired by vintage children's books, toys, and decor. As far as what inspires me aesthetically, definitely COLOR! Bright primary colors are easy to spot at the market and sales and totally excite me!

Your favorite travel destination

I don't go far now with the two kiddos, except for the occasional trip to Mi-Mi's house (my mom) in north central Pennsylvania. My favorite place to go lately is the huge flea market just down the road!
